6th Grade
Objective: The objective of this class is to increase lifelong physical activity levels, and to increase knowledge of many sports.
M, T, TH, and Friday Schedule: 11:11-11:55
Wednesday Schedule: 10:41-11:17
Daily Procedure: When you walk into the gym you are allowed time to switch into your tennis shoes. You need to make sure your shoes do not make black marks on the floor. Please make sure you wear appropriate shoes and clothing. This means no cut off t-shirts, no skirts or dresses and absolutely no flip-flops or sandals.
At the end of class I will allow you some time to switch back into your shoes. I will also require you to bring deodorant and leave it here. Before you line up you will have time to put it on before your next class. A small one should last you the whole year.
The only reason to get out of PE is if you are hurt and can’t participate. I will need to have a note from a doctor or parent for it to be excused.
Grading: There are 5 points possible each day. Failure to dress is an automatic zero. Deductions from the 5 points are as follows:
- Inappropriate language. Foul language will not be tolerated.
- Failure to complete the instructor’s directions.
- Disruption of class
- Failure to follow class rules
- Late to class
Write a ½ page paper on your favorite sport or athlete. You will then receive 4 of your 5 points back!!!
They can also ride my stationary bike for 20 minutes.
