7th Grade
Objective: The objective of this class is to increase lifelong physical activity levels, and to increase knowledge in many different sports.
M, T, TH, F Schedule: 8:50-9:34
Wednesday Schedule: 8:44-9:20
NOON dismissal: Do not dress out but wear PE clothes so we can still have class.
Daily Procedure: Class starts at 8:50 not 8:51. If you are not in the gym before the bell rings you are considered late. I would recommend wearing your PE clothes to school, since its your 2nd period and then we won’t have to waste time changing before class. When you walk in take your bag into the locker room and them come right back out. I can only check on the girl’s locker room so I expect the boy’s locker room to have no goofing around. Please make sure you wear appropriate shoes and clothing. This means no cut off t-shirts.
At the end of class you will be given 10 minutes to shower and/or dress into school clothes. As soon as you are dressed you are to come back into the gym and sit down against the wall until the bell rings. There will be absolutely no playing with equipment after you are changed out. You are encouraged to make yourself presentable for the next class. Deodorant is recommended. Your next class teachers and other students do not want you coming into class smelly and sweaty.
Each student is required to dress out everyday for class. The only reason to get out of PE is if you are hurt and can’t participate. I will need to have a note from a doctor or parent for it to be excused.
**3rd Quarter we will also be doing some Health as well as PE.
Grading: There are 5 points possible each day. Failure to dress is an automatic zero. Deductions from the 5 points are as follows:
- Inappropriate language. Foul language will not be tolerated.
- Failure to complete the instructor’s directions.
- Disruption of class
- Failure to follow class rules
- Late to class
To make up forgetting PE attire or shoes…
Write a ½ page paper on your favorite sport or athlete. You will then receive 4 of your 5 points back!!!
They can also ride my stationary bike for 20 minutes.
